Brette Waters has worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry since 2001. As an Account Representative and then Special Projects Manager at Vesta Foodservice, she has been involved with hundreds of restaurants and food service operators advising on products, purchasing and sustainability initiatives. Her interest in and passion for the topic of food insecurity and food recovery started in 2012 when Vesta Foodservice founded the non-profit organization, Chefs to End Hunger. Since 2017 Brette has overseen the operations of Chefs to End Hunger, and has partnered with other organizations fighting food waste such as ReFED, Waste Not OC, Los Angeles Food Policy Council (Food Waste Working Group), San Diego Food System Alliance, and others.
